• Manage patient accounts and ensure accurate billing and collections processes.
• Assist patients with inquiries regarding their accounts and provide clear explanations of charges and payments.
• Process insurance claims and follow up with insurance companies on unpaid claims.
• Resolve discrepancies in accounts by investigating billing issues and coordinating with other departments as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and account information.
• Provide excellent customer service by listening to patient concerns and addressing them in a professional manner.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient experiences and resolve any issues related to billing or accounts.

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or a related field
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Basic knowledge of Excel functionality and insurance remits/payments/denials
• Ability to multitask, work well under time constraints, and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Reliable access to a vehicle for local errands
• Proficiency in operating a 10-key calculator by touch
• Basic knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid or insurance regulations and business office procedures preferred
