Our client is a global leader and industry pioneer in renewable power and decarbonization solutions. They are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Consolidations team. Reporting to the Manager and Senior Manager, this role will support and execute the quarterly consolidation and close process, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial statements. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in monthly and quarterly close activities, including reconciliations, tracking and recording expenses, processing payments, deposits, and tax remittances.

This role will also be responsible for maintaining corporate-level internal control documentation to ensure SOX compliance, as well as supporting the integration of new assets and acquisitions into the consolidated accounting and reporting framework.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field and have a CPA designation. The candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and will require a demonstrated understanding of IFRS reporting and US GAAP, good ERP skills, and works well in a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a solid ability to maintain and establish priorities.

Strong communication skills (oral and written) and English is essential; bilingualism is considered an asset.

What will make you stand out:

Demonstrated experience with IFRS reporting and US GAAP, combined with advanced ERP system proficiency.

Canadian CPA designation with at least 4+ years of progressive experience in public accounting.

Exceptional accuracy and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving corporate-level internal controls, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.

Proven ability to handle complex quarterly consolidations, reconciliations, and integration of new assets into financial reporting.

Strong oral and written English proficiency, with bilingual capabilities considered a significant advantage.
