Position: Senior Accountant for Brookfield Asset Management
Take on a critical role as a Senior Accountant at Brookfield Asset Management in Gatineau, QC. Focus on consolidations, financial statement preparation, and SOX compliance while collaborating with diverse departments.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Consolidations, you will coordinate the monthly financial close process for Brookfield Asset Management and Brookfield Corporation. Your responsibilities will include preparing disclosures and management reports, reviewing quarterly accounting for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with SOX regulations. Your analytical skills will be vital as you identify issues and implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate monthly consolidation and close process

• Prepare schedules for financial statements and disclosures

• Review quarterly accounting reports for accuracy

• Maintain SOX-compliant internal control documentation

• Execute intercompany reconciliation across Brookfield groups

Requirements:

• CPA designation from CPA Canada or CPA US

• 3-5 years of public accounting experience

• Advanced Excel and strong financial systems knowledge

• Understanding of IFRS and US GAAP preferred

• Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration
