Overview
Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director, the AOC Receptionist will perform receptionist and office administration duties and provide general support to the assigned department.
Duties include responding to and directing phone and walk‑in inquiries, managing internal mail, providing general program and service information, and maintaining the reception. Also, typing, faxing and photocopying correspondence, memos, reports, and meeting minutes and coordination of meetings, may be required.
Required Qualifications- Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of education/training with experience working in an office setting
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and general office system
- Strong client service and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multi‑tasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt across departments
- Sound judgment and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Knowledge of Yukon First Nations history within formalized education systems, residential schools and ongoing intergenerational effects specific to education and social programming is an asset. Familiarity with Kwanlin Dün First Nation history, culture, goals and aspirations is required for success in the role.
