Position: Teacher - Special Education Techniques (Fall 2026 )

Role Summary

  • Preparation of course outlines
  • Preparation of classes, labs, and fieldwork
  • Teaching classes
  • Adaptation, support, and supervision of students
  • Preparation, invigilation, and correction of examinations
  • Revision of corrections at the students' request
  • Participation in pedagogical days organized by the College
  • Participation in departmental meetings and required activities
Duties

The college is seeking to hire a regular part‑time professor to teach a course within our Special Education Techniques (SET) program in the Fall 2026 semester, starting August 17th, 2026 and ending January 15th, 2027.

This role entails:

  • 2 hours of theory per week
  • 2 hours of lab per week
  • 4 hours of availability per week

Students will be introduced to the career of the Graduates in Special Education Techniques, with the scope of practice contextualized within the Quebec educational, health, and social services settings.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Special Care Counselling or a related discipline (Social Work, Psychology, etc.)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of practical and related experience
  • Experience in post‑secondary/adult learning would be considered an asset
  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written, is required
  • Knowledge of Special Care Counselling within Québec Health and Social Services is an asset

Salary Range

57,484.00$ - $ per year.
