Our client, a leader in recycling and material handling industry, is seeking a Electromechanic – Maintenance TECH-3 to join their team. As a Electromechanic – Maintenance TECH-3, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the operational excellence of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Electromechanic – Maintenance TECH-3
Location: Gatineau, QC
Pay Range: $26 - $35 an hour
Shift: Full time hours - Project base
What's the Job?
- Perform advanced maintenance, repair, and optimization of mechanized, electronic, conveyor, and motorized mobile equipment at the recycling center.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical failures on automated sorting machines.
- Implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure continuous equipment operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to develop automation and system optimization solutions.
- Supervise maintenance activities, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
What's Needed?
- Diploma in electromechanics or mechanical engineering technology.
- Prior experience (at least 5 years with CRCA certification or at least 10 years without it) in industrial maintenance and electromechanics, preferably in recycling or material handling
- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to lead and train maintenance team members effectively.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
