Project Manager, Mechanical Engineering - Gatineau Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering work streams across industrial projects, ensuring alignment with scope, quality standards, and industry regulations.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resourcing, and risk logs for mechanical packages.
- Oversee coordination between engineering disciplines, operations, construction partners, and industrial clients.
- Deliver mechanical design packages (HVAC industrial, rotating equipment, piping, process utilities, material‑handling systems).
- Conduct technical reviews, validate calculations, and endorse design decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure safety, operability, and maintainability requirements are integrated into engineering solutions for industrial facilities.
- Facilitate project meetings, progress reporting, and technical documentation for internal and client stakeholders.
- Support commissioning plans and resolve issues during construction and start‑up.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and eligibility for P.Eng.
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in industrial sectors such as pulp & paper, mining, manufacturing, process industries, food & beverage, heavy industry, or energy.
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering deliverables, multidisciplinary coordination, and industrial project execution.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, mechanical modeling tools, and project‑management platforms.
- Strong understanding of industrial codes and standards (ASME, CSA, ANSI, NFPA).
- Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges and guide engineering teams.
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 – $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $76,300 – $102,800
