Position: SMT Manufacturing Engineer at K2 Space
Join K2 Space as an SMT Manufacturing Engineer to bring cutting-edge satellites to life. This role emphasizes hands-on SMT processes and equipment operations to support innovative spacecraft development.

In this pivotal role, you will own the SMT equipment used in mass production of the K2 Mega-class satellite. Collaborating closely with production teams, you will address real-time manufacturing challenges and refine build processes that ensure the reliability of space hardware. Your expertise will contribute to achieving high first-pass yields and solving complex assembly tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize SMT assembly processes and equipment

• Troubleshoot automated SMT machines and visions systems

• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams for standards

• Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions

• Monitor process performance and provide improvement feedback

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in mechanical, aerospace or relevant field

• 2+ years in high-volume manufacturing engineering

• Strong hands-on ability with hardware directly

• Experience with precision assembly processes

• Ability to read engineering schematics
