Municipal Water Plant Operator Position

Take on the role of Plant Operator for water systems with the City of Kawartha Lakes in Lindsay, Ontario. This full-time position focuses on the critical maintenance and operation of municipal water services.

As a Plant Operator (Water), your responsibilities include the monitoring and maintenance of both water treatment facilities and distribution infrastructure. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience in the operation of water systems with a strong commitment to environmental regulations. Expect to engage in community outreach by addressing inquiries and concerns regarding water quality and leaks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate wastewater treatment facilities for compliance

• Maintain distribution systems and perform necessary repairs

• Conduct water quality tests and analysis

• Assist with public inquiries about water services

• Keep thorough records of operational procedures

Requirements:

• Environmental Studies diploma or similar

• Minimum of three years in water system operations

• Valid Class III/IV certifications

• SCADA/PLC experience required

• Excellent written and verbal communication
