  • Manage design changes, DCNs, PCNs, trends and scope changes and communicate cost, schedule and resource impacts.
  • Identify technical and execution issues and coordinate timely resolution with engineering teams, clients and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular interaction with project sites and client representatives to support field verification, construction and technical issue resolution.
  • Coordinate engineering support during construction, commissioning, start-up, turnover and project close-out, including RFIs, redlines and as-built records.
  • Prepare project status information and communicate progress, risks, challenges and recommendations to project leadership.
Education, Professional Registration & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Science.
  • Engineer-in-Training registration with APEGA and ability to obtain Professional Engineer registration within one year; current P.Eng. registration is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum four to five years of engineering and design experience, ideally in oil and gas or a related industrial sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAGD systems, facilities and processes.
  • Experience coordinating engineering activities in a multi-disciplinary project environment.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects through planning, design, project controls, technical coordination and field execution.
  • Experience with technical procurement, vendor documents and multiple project phases, including construction, commissioning, turnover or close-out.
  • Brownfield, operating-facility, construction or other site-based project experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience participating in HAZOP, HAZID, constructability, operability or maintainability reviews is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with scheduling, cost-control, document-management and engineering collaboration systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, site-focused approach.
  • Ability to meet client and site safety requirements and travel to project, fabrication and construction sites as required.
