Our client is looking for a Manager of Desktop Services.
You will…
Manage the Desktop Support group which consists of 12 team members and 2 Production OperatorsMentor team members, to develop and instill a continuous learning pathProvide process improvement and an awareness of new available technologyEnsure a stable and reliable environment for all PC computing infrastructureEnsure the team provides the highest level of 1st and 2nd customer service support to all company employeesRecommend enhancements/changes to existing policy and/or procedures to deliver quality support more efficientlyInvestigate all problematic support issuesLiaise with the Team Leader, NCS and Manager, Network & Telecom to provide opportunities for cross-training and mentoringWill be required to:Work during weekends, holidays and after hours if necessaryCarry a pager and respond 7 x 24 as backup to primary support staffTravel occasionallyTo be considered, you have:
Minimum 5 years of IT experience3 years of people management experienceA computer science diploma, MIS diploma, or equivalentExperience with Microsoft desktop operating systems and office suitesA working knowledge of Win NT Domain and Win2K AD conceptsUnderstanding of all Microsoft Desktop operating systems: NT, 2000, and XPComprehension of associated peripherals: printers, faxes, scanners, card readersWorking knowledge of LAN/WAN routing principles and Cisco equipmentPrevious experience in supporting the unique needs of branch offices and tele-worker desktop infrastructure needs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
