Security Engineering Director

Position: Payscale Security Engineering Director
Drive security excellence at Payscale as the Director of Security Engineering and Operations in a remote-first setting. Lead hands-on initiatives in architecture and incident response while developing your team.

In this senior role, you will manage all security engineering and operations activities r leadership will guide strategy development, team performance, and hands-on engineering efforts. Engage in continuous improvement of security metrics and incident response while collaborating closely with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage security operations and engineering teams

• Set quarterly and annual security objectives

• Lead incident responses across multiple team events

• Engineer security tooling while maintaining integration

• Establish and report on security KPIs regularly

Requirements:

• 10+ years in information security, including leadership experience

• Hands-on knowledge of security controls and threats

• Experienced with vulnerability management techniques

• Familiar with zero-trust architecture and cloud security

• Scripting and automation proficiency essential
