The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and expediting the materials, components, and services required to support modular skid fabrication projects. Working closely with project managers, estimators, and shop supervision, this role ensures materials arrive on schedule, on budget, and to specification so fabrication timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and purchase pipe, fittings, flanges, valves, structural steel, instrumentation, and other components required for skid fabrication
  • Prepare and issue requests for quotation (RFQs), evaluate vendor bids, and issue purchase orders
  • Expedite open purchase orders and communicate delivery schedules to project and shop teams
  • Verify material test reports (MTRs) and confirm purchased materials meet project specifications and applicable codes
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships; negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times
  • Work with shipping and receiving to resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, packing slips, and received goods
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, inventory levels, and cost tracking in the ERP/inventory system
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and qualified alternate suppliers without compromising quality
  • Compile procurement documentation to support project turnover packages and closeout
Qualifications & Skills
  • 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in industrial fabrication, oil and gas, or construction
  • Working knowledge of piping components, structural steel, valves, and instrumentation
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings, bills of material, and material specifications
  • Experience with ERP/MRP or inventory software and strong Excel skills
  • Excellent negotiation, organization, and communication skills
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or related post-secondary education an asset
  • Valid drivers license
