The role focuses on delivering excellent nursing care to patients and their families. Ideally suited for individuals dedicated to emergency nursing, it requires at least two years of acute care experience and a commitment to ongoing education. Candidates must hold a Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and an A.C.L.S. Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide quality nursing care in the Outpatient Emergency Department
• Assess patient needs and document care efficiently
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Manage triage responsibilities when necessary
Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Competence in Ontario
• Minimum two years acute care experience required
• Willingness to complete A.C.L.S. and triage training
• Knowledge of the Nursing Process and Standards
• Experience in an Emergency Department preferred
