Quality Assurance Engineer

OWL Systems Solutions is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and accessibility of our web and software applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manual and automated testing
, be comfortable working in an Agile environment, and have hands-on experience with modern automation and testing tools.

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain automated End-to-End (E2E) and regression test suites using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
• Conduct API testing and validate data flow between applications, services, and external interfaces.
• Perform accessibility testing based on WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 guidelines.
• Conduct keyboard-only, screen-reader, and automated accessibility testing using tools such as axe, Lighthouse, and NVDA.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, or similar platforms.
• Provide clear defect reports including reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, severity, environment, and supporting evidence.
• Perform regression testing after defect fixes and application enhancements.
• Support performance, load, stress, and scalability testing using tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to identify gaps, ambiguities, and potential quality risks.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure release readiness.
• Maintain test documentation, test reports, QA metrics, and requirements traceability.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage, testing standards, and overall product quality.
• Support CI/CD testing integration and help improve automated testing efficiency.

• 4–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Strong experience in both Manual Testing and Test Automation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software testing life cycle.
• Experience with Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Test Rail, or similar test/defect management tools.
• Knowledge of WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Experience with screen readers, keyboard navigation, and accessibility testing tools.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, E2E, and non-functional testing.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document test results clearly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
