Every day is different. You may be called upon to:
- Control access to facilities and greet the public
- Conduct regular patrols both indoors and outdoors
- Respond quickly to situations and incidents in the field
- Monitor security systems and write reports
- Work a rotating schedule typical of the unionized security field (days, evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays, on rotation)
- Professional attitude, reliability and maturity
- Customer service orientation and good communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk or sit for long periods, regardless of the weather
- Basic computer skills (emails, report writing)
- Eligibility for a Secret-level security clearance (PSPC) – two pieces of government-issued
- BSP licence: a strong asset (if you don't have it, we'll help you obtain it through our free training)
