At Select Aviation College, we do more than just maintain aircraft: we are shaping the future of aviation. As one of Canada’s largest flight schools, our aircraft maintenance engineers (AMEs) keep our diverse fleet safe, reliable, and ready for flight training on a daily basis.
Under the supervision of the director of maintenance (DOM), the mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance of the Select Aviation College’s fleet. They will be called upon to work on single-engine aircraft (Cessna 150, Cessna 172, Cessna 180 and Cessna 185), on twin-engine aircraft (PA-44) as well as on Robinson R44 and R66 helicopters. Regular aircraft maintenance in addition to managing occasional aircraft maintenance (snags).
They will have to work according to the norms and standards required of an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO).
- Maintain and service our fleet of airplanes, seaplanes and helicopters (C150, C172, C180, C185, PA44, R44, R66);
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting and installations;
- Work alongside student pilots, flight instructors and pilots;
- Comply with safety standards and regulations in effect at a Transport Canada-approved maintenance organization (AMO).
- Hold an AME license - Maintenance Rating (M1) or are in the process of obtaining it;
- Are bilingual (French and English preferred);
- Value craftsmanship, precision and teamwork;
