Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) – Occupational Health Physician
The roleHealth Partners is recruiting an Aviation Medical Examiner to join our Aviation Service. We are looking for an occupational health physician who holds the DOccMed or higher (AFOM, MFOM or FFOM) and is a UK CAA-authorised Class 1 Aeromedical Examiner.
Most of your work will be in the Aviation Service. Alongside it, we can offer a varied clinical portfolio across our clients and services, including case management, health surveillance, pensions and other specialist areas such as rail. We can adapt your clinical scheduling, and offer professional training, to fit your professional interests and ambitions. We'll discuss this at interview, and it is subject to business need.
Yourday - to - day work
- Aeromedical casework and assessments
- Clinical triage of inbound aviation referrals
- Initial cabin crew medical examinations
- Close working with colleagues across the Aviation Service and wider Health Partners Occupational Health Services
- Support for clinical governance, including audit and clinical policy development
- Full GMC registration with a current licence to practise
- UK CAA authorisation as an Aeromedical Examiner (Class
1) - Recognised training in aviation medicine
- DOccMed or higher (AFOM / MFOM / FFOM)
Home-based, with hybrid options at London Gatwick
Competitive based on qualifications and experience
HoursWe are able to offer full or part time hours (minimum 3 days a week)
