Airport Hangar Cleaner - Days Shifts Airport

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are excited to be recruiting for Airport Cleaners to join one of our well‑respected and successful clients at Gatwick Airport. This job offers full time hours, overtime opportunities and an immediate start. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company providing fantastic working conditions and facilities.

• Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour.
• Day Shifts available: 07:00 am to 17:00 pm - This may be subject to change, due to operational requirements.
• Shift Pattern:
  Monday to Thursday - This may be subject to change, due to operational requirements.
• Weekly Pay (every Friday).
• Full training provided.
• Temp to Perm (performance-based)
• ASAP Start!

• Support the Project Team Lead in the delivery of hangar‑based projects and operational service tasks.
• Carry out technical cleaning and maintenance activities in line with company and customer specifications.
• Follow work schedules, task plans, and project priorities as directed by the Team Lead.
• Assist with stock management, equipment audits, and the accurate completion of project documentation.
• Maintain safe working practices at all times, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures and aviation standards.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments and external contractors to support successful project delivery.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient working environment within the hangar operation.

• Ability to work well in a team.
• Great work ethic.
• Valid Passport or Driving Licence /Birth Certificate or National .
• UK Settled Status (If applicable).
• Proof of National Insurance.
• Proof of (current) Address.
• 5 Year Address History.
• 5 Year Work Reference History.
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a basic criminal record check following interview in line with CAA requirements.
• Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial.
