How can you make a difference?
The consultant will work with municipalities to strengthen existing participation mechanisms and support their integration into regular municipal procedures, ensuring that sustainable and meaningful child and adolescent participation mainstreamed as an ongoing part of municipal work.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Minimum requirements:Education:
- University degree (Bachelors) in social sciences, public administration, political science, sociology, social work, education, international relations or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in child and adolescent participation, including direct experience working with municipalities and/or government institutions.
Skills:
- Proven experience working with children and adolescents, with strong expertise in child and adolescent participation.
- Demonstrated experience in developing frameworks, guidance documents, or operational procedures, for governmental partners.
- Experience working with municipalities or local authorities in Türkiye, with strong understanding of municipalities and/or government institutions.
- Strong facilitation and training skills, including experience delivering trainings to both institutional staff and children.
- Fluency in Turkish and English
- Familiarity with child and adolescent participation mechanisms such as child and youth councils.
- Understanding of municipality governance mechanisms, budgeting processes, and administrative structures.
- Knowledge of the local context in the Southeast region of Türkiye.
- Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations.
