D. Persinger Recreation Center (SPRC) - Geneva, IL 60134## Overview Salary Range $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly Position Type Part Time## Description
* Answer general public inquiries in person, by email, and/or by phone regarding program registration, memberships, facilities, facility rentals, parks, etc.
* Process registrations, memberships, and ticket sales by operating Rec Trac and collecting payment.
* Notify participants and members of cancellations, changes, or missed payments.
* Assist with membership marketing and sales; participate in member retention programs.
* Considerable understanding of activities, programs, events, and services offered.
* Maintain a high level of knowledge of Park District facilities, their location and services, including personnel and their responsibilities.
* Understanding of general Park District policies and procedures, especially regarding refunds, waivers, etc.
* Daily fitness center duties/ maintain cleanliness
* Maintain accurate/ organized files
* Assist rec supervisors and provide support to all park district departments as needed
* Attend additional training and meetings as assigned## Qualifications
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in recent front-line customer service / working with the public.
* Clerical / Cash handling experience.
* Excellent customer service skills and computer skills necessary to effectively perform the job.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Good problem-solving skills, ability to multitask.
* Ability to operate and perform under pressure from frequent phone calls and patron requests.
* Outgoing, people person with the ability to maintain positive customer relations.
* Current CPR/Frist Aid (if not current, certification will be provided by the park district).
* Lift and move objects up to 25 lbs.
