Pro Sidian Seeks a FERMILAB Estimator (FRA8)[Key Personnel | Senior Consultant - Exempt 874-1 Consultant] located:

CONUS - Batavia, IL, 60510 (Remote) toprovide Energy, Resources, & Industrials Sector related Program / Project Management Solutions for Proton Improvement Plan II Project (PIP-II) Construction Administration (CA) Support Services on behalf of The Fermi Research Alliance, LLC (FRA). These services are considered part of the Pro Sidian Energy, Infrastructure, & Environment Sector Group with overall focuses being Tailored Solutions To Meet Global Needs And Manage Resources across Energy, Infrastructure, & Environment In A Changing Environment.

JOB OVERVIEW

GENERAL PROGRAM SUPPORT BY THE ESTIMATOR

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials needed.
  • Preparing cost estimates, including labor, material, and equipment costs, based on project specifications and historical data.
  • Analyzing vendor and supplier quotes to determine the most cost-effective solutions.
  • Working with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure that projects are completed within budget.
  • Preparing and submitting proposals and bids to potential clients.
  • Participating in negotiations with clients and vendors to establish project pricing.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of project costs, expenses, and other financial data.
  • Continuously improving cost estimating processes and methodologies.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to cost estimating.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; however, an associate's degree or equivalent work experience may be accepted.
  • 5 years experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related field, with a strong understanding of materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Must have strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, cost estimating software, and other relevant tools.
  • Must have strong math skills, including the ability to perform complex calculations, analyze data, and interpret financial information.
