Overview
Patient Safety Technician - Delnor Resource Team, Part-time, Days. The schedule is a rotating two-three 8-hour shifts per week 7a - 3:30p with every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and rotating holidays required.

The Patient Safety Technician reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities- Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
- Provides calming and reorienting conversation with patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
- Identifies and removes hazards from the patient and patient's environment, and reports as appropriate.
- May assist patient with activities of daily living, as delegated by supervising RN, including ambulating, toileting, assisting with bed making, and positioning.
- Provides continuous safety observation via continuous video monitoring for patients at risk for injury to themselves or others, including comfort measures and de-escalation techniques within scope.
- Remotely monitors multiple patients via continuous video monitoring, provides verbal redirection, and summons staff as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Physical Demands: lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds
