Daily Operations Float; Patient Access & Centralized Sceduling

** Position Summary
** Responsible for providing administrative support to designated physicians, including answering telephones, performing registration duties, scheduling appointments, and updating patient accounts.
** Locations:
** Geneva and Elgin, Illinois (must be able to travel between locations)  
** Status:
** Full-Time (40 Hours/week)

** Monday - Friday, including rotating evenings and rotating weekends  
** Starting Pay Range:** $20 - $22/Hour
** Essential Job Functions
*** Greet and direct patients.
* Answer telephone callas and assist or direct callers as appropriate.
* Perform registration ensuring timely and accurate completion of documentation.
* Responsible for scheduling patient appointments and/or tests and assisting in obtaining necessary referrals.
* Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
* Facilitate internal communication regarding physician schedule changes and issues pertaining to patient care.
* Obtains accurate patient information when answering and returning telephone calls.
* Transfers calls and/or patient cases to the appropriate departments.
* Checks patients in using both electronic tools and paper forms to ensure all necessary patient information and documents are obtained, including insurance card/information, patient identification, physician and insurance referrals, and personal/work injury/third party information as necessary.
* Facilitates the scheduling and registration of Urgent Care (unscheduled) patients.
* Collects and processes payments keeping an accurate record of payments received.
* Performs other duties, as assigned.  Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment TB and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment TB and drug screen, background check, and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
