Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a full time Heat Treat operator to perform duties to efficiently and effectively assist in processing parts through our furnaces.

Work is performed in a typical manufacturing environment with exposure to several elements continuously present including heat, dirt, grease, oils, fluids and noise.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Load and unload parts.

  • Process quality parts to process specifications.
  • Inspect parts visually for foreign material and/or defects.
  • Preform necessary recordkeeping and paperwork.
  • Adhere to work instructions and process cards as required per job.
  • Maintain a zero-defect mentality and be quality conscious.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.
  • Support and participate in the departmental structure of self-directed work teams.
  • Understand and perform to the AAG Quality Policy, taking pride in the products produced.
  • Perform necessary preventative maintenance on machines as required or instructed.
  • Move, load and unload materials as necessary.
  • Deposit scrap items in designated area.
  • Participate in team problem solving as part of the departmental continuous improvement process.
  • Understand and performs ISO 14001 work instructions as identified in, “ISO 14001 Work Instruction Assignments”.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Previous manufacturing experience helpful
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
