Job Summary
The Sanitation Technician follows procedures and SOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety and hygiene. They may record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues and advise/ update supervisor or manager of progress or other non‑routine issues.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Follows established procedures in cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
- Wet washes rooms and production lines.
- Completes required reporting to reflect activity.
- Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Physical Demands- Must be capable of being productive on 2nd-shift scheduling. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop or crouch, and may need to use stairs in multi‑level facilities.
- The employee may occasionally move up to 45‑50 pounds with a hoist, pallet‑jack, or cart, and regularly lift up to 15 pounds.
- Employee will be trained and certified to use a scissor lift to perform cleaning tasks at heights of up to 20 feet above the plant floor.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Able to communicate and take direction from Sanitation Group Lead and/or Sanitation Supervisor.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- At least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
- Multi‑shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.

Starting Pay:
Sanitation Technician Level I $16.50/hr., Sanitation Technician Level II $17.50/hr., a shift differential is offered for 2nd opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job‑related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full‑time employees including health, dental, 401k, and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
