The Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting tasks including PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Responsibilities include scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and maintenance of supporting documentation for preventive maintenance programs.
Sign-on Bonus IncentiveWe offer a $1,000 or $3,000 sign‑on bonus for new hires starting as a Maintenance Technician I or II at the Geneva, IL facility. The payout is split: 50% paid at start of employment and 50% after 90 days of employment.
Job Duties And Responsibilities- Conduct maintenance according to skill level and safety policies.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make adjustments.
- Report faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations to the maintenance manager.
- Use Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts and jobs.
- Perform work in a safe manner, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Completed or working toward a 2‑year trade degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Strong communication with maintenance managers, line workers, leads, supervisors, and plant managers.
- Attention to detail and excellent record‑keeping and data entry skills.
- Highly motivated, flexible, and capable of creative problem‑solving.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, 3‑phase electrical systems, motor controls, AC & DC drives, and PLC troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to machines, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Facilities may be warm or refrigerated depending on location.
- Team‑oriented environment requiring effective professional communication.
- Capacity to regularly lift or move up to 60 pounds.
- Availability to work weekend and night hours as needed.

Starting Pay:
Maintenance Technician Level II $33.00/hr a shift differential is offered for 2nd shift opportunities. Base pay depends on location and experience. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on performance. Full‑time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package—including health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits—effective 90 days after hire.
