General Utility - Material Handler - First Shift

Location: Carol Stream, IL |
Pay: $20.00-$24.00

• Communicate with operators to maintain a continuous flow of material and avoid shortages.
• Supply required components or ingredients to the assigned production department.
• Ensure materials are cleared from QC holds and used in the correct products.
• Transport products, open boxes and make ingredients/components available at each production station.
• Immediately notify the group leader or supervisor of any food quality issue or foreign objects.
• Report damage or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
• Stock finished products or boxes on pallets, and manage empty pallets correctly.
• Monitor and enforce safety procedures in the area.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Follow all work rules, drive at safe speed.
• Wear proper PPE as required.
• Follow GMP procedures correctly.
• Understand and implement safety procedures per training and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and interpret product labels (codes, descriptions, total lbs).
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack.

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

• Manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and powered equipment.
• Typical food manufacturing facility conditions.
• No domestic travel required.
• Physical agility required: lift up to 50 lbs, bend, squat, push, pull, stretch/reach, stand/walk for >4 hours.
