Digital Marketing, Marketing Strategy
Dorn Group is seeking a Director of Paid Media to lead paid campaign execution across a portfolio of B2B brands spanning industrial manufacturing and adjacent categories. The role covers multiple platforms and multiple client brands, with campaign responsibility that can scale into multi-million-dollar annual media budgets. This is a senior, client-facing position working directly with client-side marketing leaders and C-suite stakeholders.
Our clients sell direct and through distributors, dealers, and retailers, so the job is not just driving clicks. It is building demand that shows up in sell-through — and proving it.
You will have team support — analysts, creative, strategy, and specialist resources — but you are expected to own the day-to-day campaign management yourself. You are the person in the platforms, in the data, and on the client calls. This is not an entry-level or coordinator role. We are looking for someone who has already managed significant budgets, defended strategy to executives, and knows how to translate performance data into decisions a non-marketer can act on.
What You'll Do
- Own day-to-day paid campaign strategy, build, launch, optimization, pacing, and reporting across the full social and programmatic landscape — including Meta, Reddit, Linked In, X, Tik Tok, Pinterest, You Tube, and programmatic DSPs (The Trade Desk, Choozle, etc.)
- Manage campaigns concurrently across multiple client brands, each with its own audience, go-to-market motion, and performance expectations
- Serve as a primary day-to-day campaign contact for clients, including regular interaction with VP, SVP, and C-level stakeholders — presenting performance, defending recommendations, and shaping the roadmap
- Partner with Dorn's senior strategy team on hybrid go-to-market programs that span direct-to-customer and channel/retail motions, ensuring media drives both end-user demand and distributor and retail sell-through
- Contribute to annual and quarterly media strategy with a clear POV on channel mix, budget allocation, audience strategy, and testing frameworks
- Build and manage PPC campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads alongside paid social and programmatic work; search is expected to be part of the integrated plan
- Translate campaign performance into clear, executive-ready narratives that connect media to orders, sell-through, and pipeline — including attribution limits, incrementality, and what the numbers actually mean for the business
- Direct and collaborate with internal team support (analytics, creative, strategy, and specialist resources) to brief work, QA assets, and ensure campaigns ship on time and on strategy
What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience, with a meaningful portion in B2B — selling to buyers, specifiers, operators, and procurement
- Working fluency across the major paid social platforms — Meta, Linked In, Reddit, X, Tik Tok, Pinterest, and You Tube — including campaign structure, audience targeting, creative specs, and platform-specific measurement
- Hands-on programmatic experience on platform DSPs (The Trade Desk, Choozle, etc.), including campaign setup, audience and inventory strategy, and performance optimization
- Proven PPC competency — Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, campaign structure, bidding strategy, keyword and audience work
- Experience with hybrid go-to-market models (direct plus channel, retail, or distribution) and an understanding of how paid media supports both ends of that motion
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple brands in parallel without dropping balls
- Strong client-facing communication skills; comfortable presenting to and taking questions from C-suite executives
- Ability to think strategically and move between a high-level media plan…
