The salary range for this position is $37.00 - $59.20 per hour. Placement within the salary range depends on experience and internal equity. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment, professional development funds, a 401(k) match, medical/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, annual salary increase and incentive bonus, paid time off, and holiday pay.
DescriptionCandidates with 1+ years of RN experience are eligible for a $3,000 sign‑on bonus paid in three equal installments over the first year of employment. Sign‑on bonus is not available to internal RN transfers or NM rehires who have been away less than 12 months.
The schedule for this position is three 12‑hour shifts per week (7 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) with every third weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) and rotating holidays required.
Responsibilities- A clinically competent registered professional nurse who prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
- Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, develops and implements individualized plans, coordinates care delivery, and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Directs care and determines the appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care.
- Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff to create a documented plan focused on outcomes and decisions related to the care and delivery of services that indicates communications with patients, families, and others.
- Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
- Evaluates and documents the patient’s responses to nursing interventions in the health record and properly individualizes the plan of care based on the evaluation of findings.
- Utilizes the best available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or associate degree in Nursing (ADN) with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in a clinical nurse role.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
- Strong analytic abilities.
- Experience in acute care nursing.
