• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA/RQI required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (acute care hospital experience preferred)
• Strong communication and clinical collaboration skills

• Deliver professional and technical respiratory care to acute care hospital patients requiring specialized interventions
• Assess patient needs, contribute to care plans, implement and evaluate respiratory therapy regimens
• Obtain and analyze physiologic specimens; interpret and report cardiopulmonary data
• Manage medical gases, ventilator support, airway management, bronchopulmonary hygiene, and pharmacological agents
• Educate patients and families on respiratory disease processes, therapies, and self-care
• Document all respiratory care and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Participate in mentoring and orientation of new respiratory therapy staff
• Promote dignity and healing by considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs
