Job Details:

• Call rotation includes 1 weekday of call per week and approximately 3 full weekends of call during contract

• Required to float between Geneva General Hospital and Finger Lakes Surgery Center

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all through AHA or RQI only) and NIHSS

• New York State RN licensure required

• Apply nursing knowledge and technical skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families

• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and direct observation

• Develop individualized, culturally relevant plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary team

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate patient progress throughout episodes of care

• Provide care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions

• Conduct patient and family education to assist in understanding self-care beyond hospitalization

• Promote comfort and provide emotional support in a healing environment

• Document education provided and patient/family response to education

• Demonstrate skill in medication administration and clinical interventions

• Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated
