We are a trading company located in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland.

We are seeking a highly autonomous Junior Accountant who will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records. This position manages daily accounting operations, quarterly and annual closing processes and help audit preparation in a dynamic manufacturing scale-up environment.

As a Junior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Accounting operations: SG & A invoices, Commercial invoices, bank statements, entry of forex and futures contracts, various entries concerning business operations
• Treasury:
  Payment of invoices and follow up of the currencies on our differents accounts
• Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Ensure the relevant communication with all external and internal stakeholders
• Maintain general ledger integrity at each given date
• Manage proper expense classification and cost allocation
• Help in quarterly and annual closing processes, including the yearly audit
• Preparation of VAT & withholding tax returns
• Strengthen accounting processes and internal controls

We are looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• CFC of commercial employee or alternative education in a related field
• Min 3-5 years of experience
• Experience in trading is a strong plus
• Strong motivation to improve and automate accounting processes
• Team player with the other departments
• Experience working in an international environment
• Fluent in french and a good knowledge in English
• Software:
  Proficiency in Fintrade (or similar ERP) is a strong asset. Advanced Excel skills are required

• High level of autonomy and rigor
• Excellent organizational skills to manage daily, monthly, and quarterly deadlines
• Strong analytical skills for reconciliation and follow-up tasks
• Ability to work collaboratively with brokers and internal departments
