Job Overview
As focal point of administrative management services, the incumbent is accountable for delivering efficient and cost‑effective administrative support services, guiding the operations of these services, and managing administrative staff. The role ensures compliance with UNICEF’s administrative policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and strategies for administrative services.
- Manage the budget for administrative activities.
- Provide administrative support and services across the organization.
- Oversee property management.
- Arrange and control contracts.
- Support staff learning and development.
- Facilitate partnership, coordination, and collaboration with external partners.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, business management, administration, finance, or a related discipline. - Work Experience:
At least two years of relevant professional experience, including experience at both national and international levels in office management, administration, finance, accounting, ICT, human resources, or supply functions. - Skills:
- Experience in administrative arrangements.
- Ability to support service management.
- Experience in operational coordination.
- Ability to provide organizational support.
- Language Requirements:
Proficient/Fluent English and French are required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish).
- Work experience in another UN agency.
- Experience supporting the Inter‑Agency Operations Management Team’s approaches.
- Experience in administrative support, budget management, contract management, procurement, vendor management, office operations, budget tracking, and contract administration.
- Relevant experience at the country level, especially in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts.
- Builds and maintains partnerships.
