As part of the Metals and Minerals Operations desk, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the operational processes involved in the trading and logistics of concentrates and refined metals. Given the substantial growth on the Metals desk, we are creating a new role for a Metals Operator to strengthen the team and support the growth of our commercial activities with a primary focus on the European market.
In this role, you will communicate with external counter parties, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions. You will work alongside the commercial trading teamiect adapting to rapidly changing market conditions and requirements. Good analytical skills are required for operational cost reviews, enabling you to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Organise shipping, storage and blending of the cargo
- Coordinate issuance and timely delivery of the shipping documentation required for purchase/sale, export/import and transit of ။ cargo
- Coordinate customs formalities when and if needed
- Organise inspections of the cargo
- Coordinate various operational matters with external counter parties and internal parties required to execute the trade
- Reflect cargo information in the system and review operational costs
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of refined and/or concentrates metals operations
- Good understanding of commodity trading industry
- Experience of handling warranting operations is an advantage
- Freight forwarding experience is an advantage
- Fluent English, French is an advantage
