The Disease Advisor supports the Head of HIV and the Senior Disease Advisors, HIV, in providing technical guidance and contextualized recommendations to accelerate programmatic performance, collaborating across the Secretariat, with countries and external partners. The Advisor works across the Global Fund Secretariat, as well as with countries and in-country stakeholders to provide technical advice to inform investments and accelerate performance, including responding to direct enquiries, supporting country dialogue and grant-making, conducting technical reviews of grant reinvestment requests, and supporting Global Fund Catalytic Investments.

The Advisor will lead on existing and emerging HIV prevention products, with a focus on Pre- and Post-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP and PEP), guiding prioritization of cost-effective interventions and delivery strategies across the grant life cycle, and engaging with the global network of partners developing tools and resources to accelerate introduction and scale of PrEP and PEP. Responsibilities include providing technical advice on strategic investments, coordinating with technical teams on reprogramming opportunities, supporting analyses of HIV programmatic and epidemiologic data, contributing to Global Fund policies and publications, and co-leading the Global Fund's role in PrEP/PEP access, product choice, demand forecasting and procurement planning.

Essential qualifications: an advanced university degree in public health, epidemiology, infectious diseases or international development; strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical software. Experience required in providing technical advice and collaboration across teams, data-driven decision making, introducing innovation and solution-oriented thinking, developing partner liaisons, and working in multicultural, international health contexts. Excellent English required, working knowledge of French preferred.
