ABOUTTHE ROLE
As Project Manager, Store Planning – Swiss Markets, you are part of the Regional Boutique Architecture team, supporting the delivery of architectural and design projects across the Swiss Markets region for Fashion and Watches & Fine Jewelry.
Working within a team of two and reporting to the Regional Senior Store Planning Manager, you manage multiple store planning projects or parts of projects in parallel, including new boutique openings, renovations, extensions, refurbishments, and maintenance projects. The Swiss Markets region includes Switzerland, Mexico, Brazil, Panama, and India and is undergoing significant business acceleration.
This role requires a highly structured, organized, and analytical approach, with strong project management discipline and data/reporting capabilities to manage diverse projects with varying processes, timelines, and stakeholder requirements.
You are also an active member of the Global Boutique Architecture Team (B A T Community), a global architecture network that connects regional teams through weekly touchpoints and semi-annual in-person moments focused on learning, best-practice sharing, and alignment on global policies and procedures. The B A T Community works closely to ensure consistency, quality, and excellence across all CHANEL boutiques worldwide as all regions partner with our global design architect, Peter Marino Architects (PMA).
IMPACTYOU CAN CREATE AT CHANELProject & Program Management
Manage multiple architectural and interior design projects in parallel, each with distinct timelines, approval processes, and reporting requirements
Lead defined scopes of work independently across all project phases, including due diligence, design development, construction, cost management, openings, and after-care
Coordinate complex projects across standalone buildings, shopping malls, and historically protected sites with sophisticated interior concepts
Providing feedback to ensure projects meet CHANEL’s global architectural standards, brand image, sustainability commitments, budgets, and timelines
Stakeholder & Partner CollaborationAct as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders including regional finance, legal, real estate, procurement, operations, and sustainability teams
Work closely with the Regional Senior Store Planning Manager to coordinate with Peter Marino Architects (PMA) and IMAGE teams, ensuring accurate information flow and quality execution
Manage relationships with landlords, local authorities, consultants, contractors, and local architects under regional supervision
Data, Reporting & GovernancePrepare and maintain structured project documentation, schedules, budgets, feasibility studies, and reporting tools
Provide clear, accurate project reporting on status, risks, costs, and timelines to regional leadership
Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, tools, and reporting standards within the regional and global architecture community
Collaboration & Community EngagementActively participate in the Global B A T Community, contributing to weekly touchpoints, global alignment, and best practice sharing
Support consistency across regions by contributing to shared standards, processes, and learnings, particularly in collaboration with PMA
Prepare presentations, technical input, and structured materials for regional and global meetings
Site Presence & TravelConduct regular site visits across the Swiss Markets region to perform quality controls, monitor construction progress, and support issue resolution
WHAT YOU WILL BRING / HAVEMaster’s degree in Architecture or Design preferably
5+ years of experience in a comparable environment (architectural firms or retail design agencies)
