School Teacher

Heritage Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Home School Teacher to join a family in the Geneva area and support an 8 year old child with a structured yet creative project-based learning approach. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering personalized education in a home-school environment fostering academic growth and nurturing a love for learning.

• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that meet the educational needs and interests of the child.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage the child and accommodate different learning styles.
• Monitor and assess the child's progress providing constructive feedback and adapting the curriculum as necessary.
• Create a safe positive and enriching learning environment.
• Collaborate with parents to discuss the child's progress and educational strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational best practices and curricular developments.
• Organize educational activities trips and projects to enhance the learning experience.
• Stay informed on legal and regulatory requirements for homeschooling in Switzerland.

• Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
• A valid teaching certification or license (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of homeschooling regulations and methodologies applicable in Switzerland.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the child and parents in both English and French.

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferably in a home-school environment.
• Experience developing individualized learning plans.
• Proficiency in teaching multiple subjects including language arts mathematics and science.
• Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.

Place of Assignment: Family home in Geneva Switzerland with occasional travels

Type of Position: Full-time Home School Teacher live-out

Accommodation: Provided when travelling with the family

Start Date: As soon as possible

Engagement: Temporary until the end of June with possible extension until the end of August

Schedule: Monday through Friday (exact hours to be discussed)

Availability: Flexibility required

Remuneration: CHF gross per annum
