Applications are open for the UNITAR She Leads for Peace Summer School Geneva 2026, a 2-week immersive summer school organized by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The program will run from August 3–13, 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland. It is a transformative leadership program that aims to refine leadership qualities and connect you with leaders working toward peace and security.
The program offers an opportunity for young leaders to gain insights into the sustaining peace ecosystem and what it takes to pursue a career in this field.
The She Leads for Peace program invites applications from young women currently pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies from recognized institutes. Applicants from all around the world are invited to submit their applications. No prior experience is required. The entire course will be conducted in English. The online Final date to receive applications is February 22, 2026

The 2-week training consists of the following three tracks:
- Track 1: Becoming the Next Generation of Leaders for Peace
- Track 2: Learning from Trailblazers
- Track 3: Tips and Navigating Early Career Hurdles
Young women meeting the following criteria are invited to apply:
- Only women are invited to submit applications
- Open to applicants of all nationalities
- Academic status: in the second-to-last or final year of a postgraduate or undergraduate degree program
- Demonstrate interest in peace and security
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Interest in pursuing careers in peace-building entities
- A world-class summer program led by experts in peace and security
- Mentorship and guidance from women trailblazers
- Access to a network of strong women
- Career guidance in the area of peace and security
- Expand your professional networks with peers and experts from across the globe
- Selected participants will receive a visa support letter from UNITAR
