MAIN PURPOSE OFTHE ROLE
As a Physical Education Teacher at Collège du Léman, you will play an active role in inspiring students through sport and physical activity. You will deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons within the High School and Middle School, creating a safe, inclusive and energising environment where every student feels encouraged to participate and grow.
You will foster a positive and respectful atmosphere, helping students develop confidence, teamwork and resilience. Through your teaching, you will promote healthy habits and a genuine enjoyment of physical activity that extends beyond the classroom and into lifelong wellbeing.
This is a fixed-term replacement position from August 2026 to June 2027. The role may also involve occasional weekend commitments for tournaments and school events.
Open to EU citizen or Swiss work permit holders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe PE teacher will:
- Support the school’s mission and RISE values (Respect, Internationalism, Spirit, Excellence), helping students grow, connect globally and reach their full potential.
- Create a safe, inclusive and motivating learning environment where wellbeing and engagement are prioritised.
- Plan and deliver high-quality, structured PE lessons that encourage participation, progress and teamwork.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, punctuality and responsibility in line with school policies.
- Lead and coach extracurricular multi-sport activities after 4pm and support fixtures, tournaments and special events (including occasional weekends).
- Engage in continuous professional development and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Communicate appropriately with parents to support student progress.
- Strong coaching experience in team sports. Netball is an advantage
- Ability to teach in English with a high level of proficiency
- Strong communication and motivational skills
- Solid knowledge of physical education pedagogy and student‑centered teaching methods
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school and athletics team
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- High standards of integrity, professionalism and flexibility, with availability for occasional after‑school and weekend commitments
- Understanding of students’ social, emotional and cultural development within an international school environment
- Experience in an international or independent school environment
- Good command of French
- Understanding of diverse cultural profiles and international school settings
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Relevant teaching experience in Middle and/or High School

Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
