Job Description

As part of the launch of a new Master's program entitled Master in Reformed Studies, the Faculty of Theology is opening a position for an Academic Advisor (60%). The successful candidate will play a central role in the administrative, academic, and technical‑pedagogical coordination of the program, actively contributing to its development, implementation, and visibility. The candidate will work closely with the steering committee and teaching staff, under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty.

The position involves overall coordination of the Master in Reformed Studies, supporting students throughout their studies as well as administrative, academic, and communication activities.

• Contribute to structuring and implementing the curriculum (modules, ECTS, study paths)
• Support the operational implementation of the program
• Participate in drafting and harmonizing course descriptions in English
• Ensure compliance with institutional requirements (Bologna framework, ECTS, UNIGE directives)
• Ensure consistency of the curriculum and clarity of the program offering
• Define student orientation and follow‑up procedures
• Prepare reception, information, and advising systems
• Anticipate needs by directing students to appropriate UNIGE services (admissions, equivalencies, mobility)
• Act as liaison between teaching staff, administrative services, and the faculty
• Participate in working groups and academic committees
• Contribute to the preparation of validation and accreditation files
• Develop monitoring and evaluation tools for the program
• Contribute to drafting informational content (website, documentation)
• Participate in the implementation and evaluation of teaching modules and online content (e‑learning)
• Contribute to promoting the program to an international audience
• Ensure administrative follow‑up of the program (minutes, coordination with steering committee)
• Contribute (in the longer term) to diploma administration
• Participate (in the longer term) in developing and animating the alumni network

• Master's degree (or equivalent), ideally in humanities, theology, communication, or a related field.
• Experience in academic advising or program management.
• Knowledge of the university system is an asset (ECTS, study organization, accreditation).
• Experience or interest in instructional design and e‑learning.
• Skills in project management and coordination.
• Strong proficiency with digital tools and academic platforms.
• Knowledge of Reformation history and Protestantism is desirable.
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to work in a network and in an international environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
• Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written).

Start date:

September 1, 2026 (or by agreement).

Contract:

1 to 3 years.
