Il s’agit d’un poste de professeur-e ordinaire à charge complète comprenant des enseignements aux niveaux bachelor, master et doctorat, prioritairement pour les cours asset pricing et finance quantitative, marchés financiers et gestion des risques, machine learning en finance, intelligence artificielle appliquée à la finance, gestion d’actifs quantitative, fintech et innovation financière, finance durable et environnementale, incluant la supervision des mémoires de master et des thèses de doctorat.
L’objectif principal de ce poste est de renforcer les capacités de recherche et d’enseignement de la GSEM dans le domaine de la Finance, avec un accent particulier sur l’intelligence artificielle appliquée à la finance. Ce poste permettra également de consolider la contribution de l’Université de Genève aux activités du SFI en matière de recherche, de formation doctorale, de programmes master et de visibilité académique internationale dans des domaines en forte expansion liés à l’IA et à la finance.

Le/la candidat-e doit être titulaire d’un doctorat. Il/elle doit démontrer une excellence en recherche attestée par un solide dossier de publications dans des revues économiques de premier plan et une expertise avérée en intelligence artificielle et finance. Une capacité à relier des recherches académiques de haute qualité aux débats de politique économique constituera un atout majeur. Une expérience d’enseignement en intelligence artificielle et finance à différents niveaux académiques, ainsi que de solides compétences pédagogiques, est attendue.
Le/la candidat-e devra enseigner en anglais, la capacité d’enseigner en français constituant également un atout.

Job Description (English)This is a full‑time position involving teaching at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels, primarily covering courses such as asset pricing and quantitative finance, financial markets and risk management, machine learning in finance, artificial intelligence applied to finance, quantitative asset management, fintech and financial innovation, as well as sustainable and environmental finance. The role also includes supervising master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.
The primary objective of this position is to strengthen the research and teaching capacities of the Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM) in the field of finance, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence applied to finance. The position will also contribute to reinforcing the University of Geneva’s role in the activities of the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI), including research, doctoral training, master’s programs, and international academic visibility in rapidly growing areas related to AI and finance.
We are particularly interested in candidates with an already established international scientific reputation, capable of playing a central role in the future development of the GFRI and in sustainably strengthening its international scientific standing, while actively contributing to the academic missions of GSEM. The selected candidate should be able to significantly enhance GFRI’s research output, strengthen teaching offerings at all academic levels, foster interdisciplinary collaborations within the University, and increase the Faculty’s international visibility.
The successful candidate will also be expected to take on managerial and organizational responsibilities related to their role within the GFRI, actively engage with the GSEM community, collaborate with its various stakeholders, and contribute to GFRI initiatives.
Candidate profileThe candidate must hold a PhD and demonstrate research excellence, evidenced by a strong publication record in leading economics journals, along with proven expertise in artificial intelligence and finance.
