Position Overview

Full Professor / Excellence Chair in Artificial Intelligence and Finance with affiliation to the Geneva Finance Research Institute (GFRI).

Affiliation:
Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM), University of Geneva.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels, primarily in asset pricing, quantitative finance, financial markets, risk management, machine learning in finance, artificial intelligence applied to finance, quantitative asset management, fintech, financial innovation, and sustainable finance.
  • Supervise master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.
  • Strengthen research and teaching capacities of GSEM in finance, with a focus on AI applications.
  • Contribute to the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) activities, including research, doctoral training and master programs.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations within the university and increase the faculty’s international visibility.
  • Assume managerial and organisational responsibilities related to the GFRI role and contribute to its initiatives.
Candidate Profile
  • PhD holder with a strong publication record in leading economics journals.
  • Expertise in artificial intelligence and finance; ability to link research to economic policy debates.
  • Teaching experience in AI and finance at various academic levels; strong pedagogical skills.
  • Professional fluency in English;
    French teaching ability considered an advantage.
  • Established international scientific reputation capable of playing a central role in the development of the GFRI.
  • Commitment to enhance the GFRI’s research output, teaching offerings and faculty’s international profile.
