Acoustic Engineer

You will join the Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection Unit (HSE), which supports the organisation in implementing and enforcing its environmental policy. Within HSE, the Environment Group monitors the environmental impact of activities and advises on improvement measures. As part of the Prevention and Monitoring section, you will contribute to the En No Mo S project, which aims to design and deploy a continuous environmental noise monitoring system across CERN sites.

The system will provide 24/7 online monitoring and support environmental oversight by delivering reliable noise data for analysis and reporting.

• You are a national of aCERN Member State or Associate Member State . Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals for positions with a 2026 start date, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
• By the Final date to receive applications, you have a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience since graduation. You are not eligible with only a bachelor’s degree.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
