Timber Construction Engineer

Responsibilities

• Handle timber structure projects through all SIA phases 21 to 53
• Perform structural modeling and calculations, including seismic checks
• Develop technical details and execution/construction drawings in coordination with the project’s various stakeholders
• Work as part of a team with an experienced project manager as well as with architects, contractors and specialized partners
• Contribute to the preparation of tender submissions and associated technical documents

• Degree in engineering specialized in timber construction or equivalent qualification
• Ideally 2 years of experience in timber structures
• Proficiency in structural modeling and structural calculations, including seismic analysis
• Drawing skills for producing timber framing and connection/assembly drawings using software such as cadwork 2D/3D
• Ability to work effectively in a team within a stimulating environment
• Excellent command of French, ideally complemented by knowledge of English and/or German
• Dynamic, organized, autonomous and proactive personality, with a strong sense of priorities and rigor
