You will contribute to a proposal covering the layout, optics design, performance optimisation and evaluation of a potential future collider at CERN, the Linear Collider Facility @ 380 GeV (LCF
380).

• Work on various design aspects of LCF
  380.
• Perform beam dynamics simulations to demonstrate its performance.
• Investigate the interaction regions (optics design, layout, for a possible dual beam delivery system) and the damping rings to optimise performance.
• Contribute to writing the summary design report.

• You are a national of aCERN Member State or Associate Member State. Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot and Croatian nationals, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
• By the Final date to receive applications, you have a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience since graduation. You are not eligible with only a bachelor’s degree.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
