MISSION

The EMEA Financial Controller oversees all financial operations across multiple global manufacturing sites, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with corporate objectives. This role leads financial reporting, drives operational efficiency, strengthens and owns internal controls. The ideal candidate brings deep manufacturing finance expertise, strong cross‑border experience, and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.

POSITION SUMMARY
  • Establish, maintain, and execute the organizations financial and operating controls, processes, policies, and systems
  • Oversight of day‑to‑day accounting activities including Accounts Payable (AP)/ Accounts Receivable (AR)/ General Ledger (GL)/ Inventory Cost Accounting/ Revenue Recognition/ VAT/ coordination of taxes for the Mercury EMEA entities (Switzerland, Spain, and the UK)
  • Manage a matrixed accounting team in Switzerland, Spain, and the UK, partnering with EMEA Finance
  • Oversee consolidation of EMEA financial statements in accordance with local regulations/U.S. GAAP
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing procedures including review of journal entries/support in accordance with local accounting regulations and support consolidation to U.S. GAAP
  • Manage monthly account reconciliations and integration of new sites to the electronic system where necessary (Blackline)
  • Manage and facilitate statutory audits for EMEA subsidiaries (Switzerland, Spain, and the UK) and support requests on the consolidated U.S. GAAP integrated audit
  • Coordinate with corporate accounting & internal audit teams to ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls
  • Proactively work with corporate accounting & internal audit teams to review and update processes/controls as necessary
  • Partner with corporate tax team and coordinate with external service provider’s preparation of annual statutory tax filings for EMEA entities (Switzerland, Spain, and the UK)
  • Primary point of contact with external contract manufacturing partner on reporting and accounting of monthly activities
  • Manage monthly and annual payroll procedures with external providers including ad‑hoc queries related to payroll
  • Facilitate the end‑to‑end cash management process for EMEA sites (Switzerland, Spain, and the UK) including coordination with corporate treasury team
  • Coordinate banking transition with EMEA Treasury team
  • Champion digital transformation initiatives, including ERP optimization and automation of financial processes
  • Standardize financial processes across regions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency
  • Support budgeting and forecasting owned by local EMEA Finance and corporate FP&A teams in accordance with local regulations and U.S. GAAP
  • Build strong working relationships and alignment with local and corporate finance and accounting functions
  • Manage and facilitate various ad‑hoc queries
  • Travel to various sites (primarily to Switzerland, Spain, and the UK) from time to time to support various accounting initiatives
  • Equivalent accreditation as a Certified Accountant or Chartered Accountant or (brevet Federal in Accounting in Switzerland)
  • Previous experience working in multiple ERPs with Oracle being preferred
  • Fluency in English required with additional languages including French or Spanish are preferred.
PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field.
  • Prior experience working as a financial controller and/or a financial statement auditor preferred
  • Approximately 7-12 years of experience with 3-5 years of experience managing employees
