Job Description
Role - L3 Exchange Server Administrator
Location - Switzerland - Geneva
Key Accountabilities- Administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server 2013/2016/2019 and Exchange Online (Office 365).
- Handle L3 escalations from L1/L2 support teams and resolve complex messaging issues.
- Design and implement Exchange infrastructure solutions including DAGs, hybrid configurations, and mail flow rules.
- Monitor system performance, message queues, and logs to ensure optimal operation.
- Manage mailbox databases, perform mailbox moves/restores, and handle retention policies.
- Manage and troubleshoot Lotus Notes environments and support coexistence/migration scenarios.
- Administer and support enterprise email security and archiving tools.
- Trend Micro (Email Security, Deep Discovery)
- Proofpoint (Email Protection, TAP)
- Voltage Secure Mail (Data encryption and secure email delivery)
- Menlo Security (Web isolation and threat protection)
- Source One (Email archiving and eDiscovery)
- Automate administrative tasks using Power Shell scripting.
- Implement and manage security protocols including Exchange Online Protection (EOP), anti-spam, and anti-malware policies.
- Collaborate with Active Directory, Azure AD, and other infrastructure teams for integrated solutions.
- Lead Exchange migration projects (e.g., on-prem to cloud, tenant-to-tenant).
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, perform audits, and maintain documentation.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server (2013/2016/2019) and Exchange Online.
- Expertise in Lotus Notes, Trend Micro, Source One, Proofpoint, Menlo, and voltage appliances.
- Strong Power Shell scripting skills.
- Experience with hybrid Exchange environments and migrations.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and SMTP protocols.
- Understanding of security and compliance features in Microsoft 365.
- Strong level of English and confident communicator.
- Good decision making and analytical skills.
- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Desire for continual learning.
- Intensely driven, proactive and delivery focused.
- Must be flexible and open-minded – due to the nature of support work, each day is different, and workers must be willing to adapt and change to the changing situations.
