The Cyber Peace Institute protects the most vulnerable in cyberspace. Your MissionWe are currently looking for a motivated and detail-oriented EU Project Researcher to join our team and contribute to the implementation and reporting of our EU-funded projects.
The EU Project Researcher will lead and support legal and ethical research activities within EU-funded projects, with a strong focus on the preparation of high-quality reports, studies, and other formal project deliverables required under EU grant agreements.
The role combines research, structured drafting, coordination, and close collaboration with internal teams and consortium partners to ensure timely, coherent, and compliant project outputs.
Your ResponsibilitiesYour main tasks will include the following:
- Legal and Ethical Analysis
- Conduct legal and regulatory research related to EU and EU MS national frameworks relevant to project topics
- Identify and assess ethical considerations, including data protection and fundamental rights issues
- Support compliance with EU ethics and legal requirements
- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation related to legal and ethical aspects
- Reports and Project Deliverables
- Draft, edit, and finalize project deliverables (reports, studies, policy briefs, guidelines, and recommendations)
- Ensure deliverables meet European Commission standards, formatting requirements, and deadlines
- Coordinate and consolidate partner contributions into coherent final documents
- Contribute to periodic and final technical reports for EU funders
- Team Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with internal project managers, researchers, and administrative staff to ensure alignment across activities
- Participate in internal meetings, briefings, and planning sessions
- Contribute to internal reporting and progress updates
- Liaise with consortium partners to gather inputs and ensure consistency across work packages
Degree in Law, European Studies, Public Policy, International Relations, or related field
Proficiency in drafting analytical reports and deliverables in EU-funded projects
Knowledge of EU institutional and legal frameworks
Ideally, relevant experience within an NGO or international organization
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail
Proficient in English (C1 or above)
Strong communication, team and interpersonal skills
Swiss or EU citizenship, or existing work permit in Switzerland
