Senior Program Lead – Mainframe Transformation | Switzerland

Are you a seasoned delivery leader with deep Mainframe expertise and a track record of driving large-scale enterprise transformation? This is a high-impact contract opportunity based on-site in Switzerland, sitting at the heart of a critical, business-wide modernisation programme.

As Senior Program Lead, you will take full ownership of a complex, enterprise-wide initiative, from initial scoping and planning through to deployment and service transition. You'll lead cross-functional teams, manage senior executive stakeholders, and be the primary escalation point across multiple business units.

This is not a coordination role. You'll be expected to make decisions in ambiguous environments, drive governance, manage risk and financials, and select and apply the right delivery methodology, whether Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, or hybrid, based on what the programme demands.

• Leading end-to-end delivery of a large-scale, business-critical transformation programme
• Owning programme governance, risk, dependencies, financials, and executive reporting
• Defining scope, requirements, and testing and deployment strategies
• Directing geographically dispersed teams and external vendors
• Acting as the primary interface for senior stakeholders and steering committees

• 15+ years of delivery leadership experience on complex, enterprise-wide programmes
• Strong Mainframe technical background, essential
• Mainframe modernisation experience, a significant advantage
• Proven ability to lead in legacy IT environments
• Fluency in both English and German
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience with Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, and hybrid methodologies
